All right, welcome guys and gals. Today’s video is actually the first video I ever created…but never got around to editing (so forgive the sound quality and rough look here and there). Today we’re taking a look at how to bleach wood for etching in your Glowforge. As far as I know, the process is safe for your laser (the bleach is non-chlorine), but use at your own risk. I like using dark wood but found that dark wood was not always best for etching because details got lost due to the etch being similar in shade to the non-etched areas. I decided to give Zinsser wood bleach a try and was pleased with the results. I thought I’d share them here.
